Yes. Fine strands and soft edges require masking rather than a hard outline. The finish depends on the sharpness, contrast and detail available in your original image.
Can I receive transparent images?
For a reusable cutout with no solid backdrop, specify PNG or discuss a layered delivery with us. JPG cannot store transparency, so a JPG delivery uses a solid background.
Will the product colour or shape change?
The aim is to preserve the original subject. Retouching, recolouring and reshaping are separate requests and are agreed before editing.
Can you keep the original shadow?
Include your shadow preference in the brief: preserve the photographed shadow, soften it or remove it entirely. Shadow creation can be quoted separately when a new shadow is needed.
